Editing – Plain English and literacy

Mel Roome is a plain English trainer for 26TEN, the Tasmanian Government’s adult literacy and numeracy campaign.

Almost one in two Tasmanians (48.8 per cent) do not have the numerical and literacy skills they need for daily life and work. It is therefore important that materials written for the public are written in an accessible way.

We bring plain English to all our editing, as it is truly the essence of good editing.
